  • "We are so grateful for our new partnership with the Iron Sharp Foundation. At the start of this school year, the Foundation responded to an urgent school-wide community need for our students. From the moment I started working with Jordan, he and the Foundation have been responsive at every level - in speed, in honoring our request, and in partnership. It is clear that this is a collective of people committed to meaningful action - and from their effort, our students and families have benefitted."

    Susan G. - Montview Elementary

  • "Iron Sharp has been an invaluable partner to Aurora Public Schools this school year. Hundreds of our students have been directly impacted by the resources and opportunities that Iron Sharp has provided to our community. These are resources that the school district has historically been unable to provide to families but has direct impact on their students'' performance in school. Iron Sharp is helping our students be more successful, assisting our families in finding stability, and making our community stronger. We are extremely grateful for our partnership and look forward to continuing to work together to help our families."

Joey W. - Director of Federal Programs, Aurora Public Schools

  • "I can't say enough about what a huge impact the partnership with Iron Sharp has made on our team and more importantly what a huge impact the partnership has made on the Aurora Public School students and families we support. We work to support many families with the highest needs in the APS District, and Jordan has worked very diligently to help in any way possible. He has connected us to other community organizations that have wanted to support our students and families as well. Through those connections we have been able to provide huge supports to our students and families and we have also been able to begin conversations with organizations regarding future projects to support our students and families. I am extremely grateful for the partnership with Iron Sharp, the partnership has had a huge impact on many APS students and families."

Amy S. - McKinney-Vento Advocate, Aurora Public Schools

  • "The beginning of a new school year always brings a range of emotions for students, families, staff and our community. We often hear and see the excitement of seeing friends and previous teachers, comfort in routines, nerves about the unknown and stress around the financial strain of purchasing supplies. Members of Iron Sharp Community Foundation in partnership with Encounter Church heard these challenges and went to work. As a result of their time, passion, and dedication we welcomed over 260 families at Lansing's Registration Day Event. During this event every student received a free backpack with school supplies, a free lunch and had the opportunity to meet their teacher. The smiles on students' faces and appreciation shared from families were priceless. Iron Sharp Community Foundation alongside Encounter Church brought our community together and ignited the excitement of a new year. "

Karla F. - Principal, Lansing Elementary Community School
